Julian Lupu ‘08 Electrical Engineering Controls Team I think it’s pretty obvious why anyone would love sustainability: it betters the environment, it’s clean, it saves you money. It is simply a win-win situation. I am working on the Solar Decathlon to learn what sustainability really encompasses, to gain experience, meet people and learn everything I can about the development of a green house. Hopefully the Solar Decathlon will spark some interest in other students here at SCU and get them involved. We can harbor a creative environment for these youngsters and let their wild imaginations run free. You never know what these youngins will think of next. Post-Santa Clara Plans: Hopefully I will be involved in some way with the sustainability movement. Maybe I will start some type of sustainability company, possibly working with carbon credits. Favorite sustainable thing to do: I’m very fond of innovation in the sustainable sector, thus I like to think about new ways to make current technologies more sustainable and hopefully, one day, I will start a company that will make the world a better place. That’s not really a sustainable thing, but it will hopefully lead to more sustainability. |
