Nora Hendrickson ‘08 Mechanical Engineering / Philosophy Economics I was always a recycle kid growing up. I want to build a hydrogen powered car, which is a dream that I first had in 8th grade. Green is the new gold – gold will run out but if we can make more things “green” friendly, we can make a lot of things in our world last longer. Green is the goal to save our world. I am working on the Solar Decathlon to learn more about this great feat of building a solar home by understanding all that is involved. I am working on economics because not many people want to worry about the money issue, but it is good knowledge to have for future business projects. The Solar Decathlon is great education for everyone involved. We are educating ourselves and a new generation through high school outreach. Post-Santa Clara Plans: Save the world! Just kidding, I plan on designing renewable energy cars and eventually having my own design company. An MBA may be on my educational future map. Favorite sustainable thing to do: Use renewable energy things like cars and appliances, recycle, and learn about new technologies. |
