Yasemin Kimyaciglu ‘08 Mechanical Engineering Interior Design Coordinator I didn’t know how to answer the question about why I care about sustainability/nature/the environment. Why wouldn’t you care about it? I am working on the Solar Decathlon because it serves a good purpose and is a terrific learning opportunity. I hope that people will recognize the importance and ease of shifting into a more sustainable lifestyle. I am most involved in the Interior Design team. I am majoring in engineering but I have some interest in going into industrial design. This is a great way for me to work with professionals and learn more about the elements of design. Post-Santa Clara Plans: I plan to play basketball in Turkey for a couple years and then come back to pursue a career in industrial design or sustainable technology.
