Amine Berrada, 1st yr graduate Mechanical Engineer HVAC Controls / Construction Manager Our generation is responsible for the well-being of our planet. Global warming is starting to affect our lives in a more direct manner, with irregular temperature distributions and climates changes around the world. It is therefore our responsibility to bring back our planet to its balanced state to ensure a prosperous future for the next generations. I am interested in learning about solar technology and designing solar systems. The size of the project and the management and team work involved in it are a great opportunity to learn skills which are very useful in the professional world. Out of the Solar Decathlon, I hope comes: 1) Unique, rich, and varied learning experience for students 2) Great contribution to the noble cause of saving the planet 3) Research and development of new energy saving technology I am most involved in construction for management learning experiences and the overall construction experience. I am also working on HVAC controls to learn how to design and implement control systems. Post-Santa Clara Plans: I want to work in the renewable and sustainable energy business. Favorite sustainable thing to do: Use the energy generated by the sun to directly power my daily life. |
